EcoVadis Gold certification
In January 2018, Neopost has been rated “Gold” by EcoVadis in recognition of its commitment and performance in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility. The EcoVadis rating agency certifies companies’ commitment to sustainable business development, specializing in assessing suppliers for global supply chains. Its rating methodology is based on international sustainable development standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000. It is based on 21 indicators in the following 4 areas: Environment, Social Policy and Working Conditions, Business Ethics and a Responsible Supply Chain. The assessment of the initiatives implemented by Neopost has granted the Group an overall score of 67/100, an increase of 10 points compared to 2015. This result enables Neopost to obtain Gold certification and ranks it among the 2% of suppliers recognized by EcoVadis as being the most advanced and demonstrating the strongest commitment to sustainable development, across all sectors.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
Since 2009, the Group submits the data to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). The CDP is an independent NGO offering a global system for measuring and publishing environmental information and which assesses companies’ strategy, involvement, and results to combat climate change, sustainable water management and forestry protection. For several consecutive years, the results for this assessment have improved. In 2017, the Group was awarded an A- grade with "Leadership" level, acknowledged for its efforts made in risk management linked to climate change and a reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).
The Gaïa Rating
In 2017, Neopost was ranked in 9th place (9/230) for the 2017 Gaïa Index. The report ranks French mid-cap organisations for their level of sustainable development, so it’s great to have come out on top. Since its formation in 2009, the index has become the go-to resource for top ranking investment organisations looking to adopt extra-financial criteria when analysing potential investments. Companies are judged on a number of environment, social and governance (ESG) factors, and only 70 of the 230 screened companies are included in the final index. Neopost is also listed in 8th position (8/87) in the ‘companies with sales over €500 million’ category. This ranking recognizes all the actions undertaken in the Group, such as the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification covering today all of our industrial sites and several distribution subsidiaries, the implementation of an ecodesign and remanufacturing policy for our products, the implementation of employee engagement surveys and associated action plans, as well as the improvement of work conditions and the signing of collective charters or collective agreements on diversity, equal opportunities and disability at work.
In 2017, as in previous years, the Neopost Group was distinguished by the most recognized extra-financial rating agencies, notably the extra-financial rating agency Oekom Research AG with the C + score, thus enabling it to obtain the "Prime" status.
Ethibel EXCELLENCE Label
On June 28, 2016, Neopost has been confirmed in the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register. Ethibel EXCELLENCE is a quality mark for investment funds which exclusively invest in shares or bonds included in the Investment Register and with an A, B or C rating. These are usually companies which are above average in most domains of their industry in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Individual companies are assigned a rating by Forum ETHIBEL following an in-depth screening and can be included in the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register, on the condition that their rating is A or B or C. The Forum ETHIBEL Board of Directors decides which companies are eventually included in the Investment Register. The decision of the Board of Directors is based on the advice given by the Register Committee. This independent Forum ETHIBEL advisory body evaluates the quality of the assessment with regard to companies whose rating is high enough, and may also suggest additional evaluations.
