The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
Since 2009, the Group submits the data to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). The CDP is an independent NGO offering a global system for measuring and publishing environmental information and which assesses companies’ strategy, involvement, and results to combat climate change, sustainable water management and forestry protection. For several consecutive years, the results for this assessment have improved. The CDP’s rating system changed in 2016 and now categorizes reporting companies from "D-" (lowest grade) to "A" (highest grade). In 2016, the Group was awarded a B grade, acknowledged for its efforts made in risk management linked to climate change and a reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). In 2016, only 28% of reporting companies obtained this grade which positions Neopost above the average for companies in the information technologies sector (average grade: C).
Neopost ranked first in the 2016 Gaïa-Index
In October 2016, following on from being named in the top ten French software providers in Syntec Numérique’s ‘Top 250 Panorama’ report, Neopost has been awarded the first place in the 2016 Gaïa-Index. The report ranks French mid-cap organisations for their level of sustainable development, so it’s great to have come out on top. Since its formation in 2009, the index has become the go-to resource for top ranking investment organisations looking to adopt extra-financial criteria when analysing potential investments. Companies are judged on a number of environment, social and governance (ESG) factors, and only 70 of the 230 screened companies are included in the final index.
Included in the Gaïa-Index for the first time in 2015, ranked in ninth place, Neopost was in 2016 awarded a score of 94/100 and ranked first in both the general classification and ‘companies with sales of more than €500 million’ categories.
